Kamala Harris stumbles during Hurricane Milton briefing, Trump calls her a fraud

Vice President Kamala Harris experienced an awkward moment during a live broadcast update on Hurricane Milton, where she stumbled through her speech and was later reminded that she was on air. The briefing, held by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) on Wednesday, provided both Harris and President Joe Biden with updates on disaster relief efforts for Florida.
Hurricane Milton, which made landfall as a Category 3 storm on Thursday, has caused significant damage and widespread power outages across Florida. According to NBC News, four deaths have been reported at a retirement community, suspected to be caused by a tornado. The storm was moving away from Florida’s Atlantic coast by Thursday morning, but it is expected to impact communities along the eastern shoreline.
While Biden attended the briefing from the White House, Harris joined virtually with other officials.
During the broadcast, Harris was heard reminding someone, “It’s a live broadcast,” after nearly 20 minutes of struggling through her speech, frequently glancing down at notes or a script, reported Fox News.
In her address to Floridians, particularly those in the Tampa region, Harris urged residents to take the hurricane seriously.
“We urge you to take this storm seriously,” she said. “As has been said before, this is a storm that is expected to be of historic proportions. And many of you, I know, are toughâ€æ and you’ve ridden out these hurricanes before. This one’s going to be different.”
Harris continued, “We ask you to understand by every measure that it’s going to be more dangerous, more deadly, and more catastrophic. So please listen to your local officials. They know what they’re talking about. They know what they’re doing. And if you are told to evacuate, please evacuate immediately. Do not wait until it is too late,” reported Fox News.
MAGA was quick to attack the VP over her stumbles.
“Kamala can be heard telling an aide (who is feeding her questions) that it’s a “live broadcast” before immediately asking the question. She’s a total fraud,” Trump war room posted on X (formerly Twitter).
